For solving tough problems at the intersection of policy, communications, and politics.

Colas & Associates is a boutique public affairs and government relations firm that helps clients win.

We persuade Republicans by using the whole conservative ecosystem: social media, press, outside entities and nonprofits, and working directly with policymakers and their staff.

We have extensive experience running political campaigns, working in high level Congressional positions, and doing aggressive communications for the political and corporate sectors.

In The Press

Politico: “Cotton moves key aide to political operation” “Colas has been a central player in Cotton’s orbit, having served as his deputy chief of staff and legal counsel. Cotton called Colas a ‘trusted advisor and friend’ in a statement, and he said he would ‘continue to benefit from his counsel.’”

Daily Wire: “Shortly after the deadline to file had passed, Cotton’s campaign manager Brian Colas sent an email to Cotton’s supporters revealing that there were ‘significant vulnerabilities in Mahoney’s background,’ according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

’Our strategy was to hold our research, allow Mahony to gain momentum to prevent other candidates from entering the race, and work [with] the state Republican Party and the [National Republican Senatorial Committee] to release this information after it was too late for anyone else to enter the race,’ wrote Colas in the email to supporters, as noted by the news agency.’”

Politico: “Brian Colas, Cotton’s top political adviser, delivered a 15-slide PowerPoint presentation which, among other things, mentioned that the senator and his advisers had studied dozens of past Republican presidential campaigns. They concluded that early national recognition and attention had little bearing on the eventual success of candidates.”

Washington Examiner: “‘Sen. Cotton is focused on electing conservative veterans,’ said Brian Colas, a top Cotton political adviser. ‘Sen. Cotton will be campaigning for Gen. Bolduc, providing fundraising support, and running ads to mobilize independent New Hampshire voters.’”

Associated Press: “‘Sen. Cotton is praying for Josh and his family. He hopes they recover and he wishes them well,” Brian Colas, a consultant for Cotton’s campaign, said.’”
